OJ Da Juiceman Opens Up About The Music Industry & Relationship With Gucci Mane

In a recent interview with Lalaa Shepard & The Progress Report, one of trap music’s creators, OJ Da Juiceman opens up about his past and details intimate stories about his life and music career from having his sister help him write music, coping with diabetes, discovering nearly every successful producer such as Lex Lugar, Sonny Digital, Metro Boomin, Zaytoven, Mike Will Made It, and several others.
OJ speaks on creating a new lingo and setting standards in rap music and how things are more acceptable today than they were when he was coming up.
OJ details how his innate nature of being a hustler made him a successful independent artist enabling him to release over 40 mixtape and 2 albums.
OJ even shares how getting robbed out of millions of dollars changed how he moved in the music industry and how no one believed in his biggest hit to date, “Make The Trap Say Aye”.  Despite taking over 2 years to break, he never stopped believing in himself.
“Slow money is better than no money”.
OJ even stated that he and Gucci Mane will work soon when the time is right and wants upcoming artists to learn the music business so they can keep their profits.

Stream Florida Artist TurfMadeSkully Memorizing Banger, "Twerlin"

Check out this new banger from Florida artist TurfMadeSkully, “Twerlin” which is the lead single from his upcoming EP hosted by Bigga Rankin!

Read more about TurfMadeSkully below:

I was blessed from birth with being a musician! Born Troy Waiters, aka TurfMadeSkully raised in Bradenton, Florida out of Manatee County. Growing up I always found a melody to create music with a story of my own to fit behind the melody. As the song would fit together it would attract folk’s attention to my music. This audience had been through some of the same stories of my own. This is what gave me the motivation to rap in talent shows. I wanted to become an influence in someone’s life who can relate. I’m a young African-American who is hungry for success. With a desire to give the rap game life again. I started rapping at the age of fourteen.

My stage name TurfMadeSkully came from a young age of wearing skulls. The rest was being stamped from the streets I was Turf made. My favorite influence is 2 Pac and T.I. their music is of substance. It influences others. What makes me different from other artist is I can produce music through freestyle. My freestyle skill gives you a better sense of a real life story. It gives you a vision of what’s going on in the life around the artist. Having taken the stage with some great artist such as YFN Lucci & Kodak Black, The support in my community is always outstanding. Now moving around on my own gigs from state to state it has been nothing but elevating. I also have dropped my first project “Perfect Timing”. The two singles from this EP are “Get That Money” & “Juice”.

Philipino Monroe Proves R&B Is Back With New EP, 'May Is Mine'

R&B newcomer, Philipino Monroe recently released his debut EP, May Is Mine. The project features 12 tracks and production from the powerhouse, Chopsqaud DJ.

Philipino shares intimate stories of his personal life throughout the EP from surviving gang violence and a poverty-stricken upbringing to having no one believe in his dreams yet still believing in himself.

After losing both parents at a young age, Philipino turned to music as a positive way to express his emotions. He’d always recognized that he possessed a beautiful voice since a young child and is now ready to be heard.

"My music and ideology/inspiration comes a lot from realists such as Tupac Shakur. One thing he said in an interview that resonates with me and my career is that he said his Momma use to tell him if you can't find something to live for you best find somethin' to die for. He also said that reality is wrong meanwhile dreams are for real. That's something that has inspired me in the way I make music and the way I treat people"

Philipino owes the world his story and his music is a reminder that you can be anything that you want to be in life with hard work and effort.
